捷克作家米蘭·昆德拉 (Milan Kundera) 于2023年07月11日在巴黎的公寓去世，他是20 世紀最有影響力的小說家之一，也是世界上著作被翻譯次數最多的作家之一。其代表作有《不能承受的生命之輕》《玩笑》《生活在別處》《笑忘錄》和《不朽》等。

1985年，昆德拉獲得耶路撒冷獎。他的獲獎感言出現在《小說藝術》收錄的論文中。1987年獲奧地利國家歐洲文學獎。 2000年獲國際赫爾德獎。2007年榮獲捷克國家文學獎。2009年，他榮獲Prix mondial Cino Del Duca獎。2010年，他被家鄉布爾諾授予榮譽市民稱號。

2011年獲得奧維德獎。小行星7390 昆德拉于 1983 年在克萊日天文臺發現，以他的名字命名。2020年榮獲捷克文學獎弗朗茨·卡夫卡獎。
